Welcome to the ESL Speaking and Listening 4 Flat Stanley project! After reading a little about Flat Stanley, each class member was kind enough to invite Stanley to stay with them in their homes for a while. The students took their hosting responsibilities very seriously and Stanley had some incredible experiences. Their adventures together are recorded here in their blogs. About Me
- Kerrie Smith
- I have been teaching ESL since I graduated from the University of Florida in 1997. I have been fortunate enough to spend two wonderful years teaching abroad: one year in Chunchon, Korea, and another in Oaxaca, Mexico. I have been living here in San Antonio for around 7 years now, and during that time I have continued teaching ESL and have earned my Master's Degree in Bicultural-Bilingual Studies. I love being in the ESL classroom as each semester brings new students from just about every part of the world.

It is a very good project, it's a smart way to practice your past tense, I say diferent,funny and easy. You and your family can do a lot of things with him and talk about what did you do. Enrique.

it's a funny project that i've ever seen
Is a little silly to take a picture
about a piece of paper. I recognize
that is a good idea, about to know
of everyboby elsepatricia daily life.
I think it is a excellent project. I like to see the pictures from my class mate what have they done with Stanley, so I can keep in touch with everyone.
I like doing this project because this is new for me and I love to learn new things every day.
I think this is a good proyect, because help me to have imagination and it was very funny to have this special guest in my house.

It was a great experience. My family and I enjoyed having Stanley at home, he joined us on our daily activities and we learned many things with him.
I haven't heard about Flat Stanley before it was introduced to me in the ESL class. I was a little shy to introduce him to friends and family at the beginning. However, after I learned more about it, I proudly held him and shared him with others. He is so cute.
This project has been one of the funniest projects for me. Also, it helped me practice and use my english, because I have to describe the pictures. I shared the Flat Stanley story with my family.
Not only Flat Stanley is an excellent project but we learned about the vocabulary word of “BLOG” also. Thanks to Ms. Kerrie for the co-operation.
About the Flat Stanley homework, I will tell you the truth.
At the beginning, I was lazy to do this homework, because I didn't know how to use this program, but after I know it, I enjoyed a lot to do it.

I Think project is very nice,because it's different,and I could practice english in past tense. I enjoyed with Stanley. He was diffent guest in our house. Thank Karrie for this project.
